An excellent book which parallels societies restrictions and expectations from the people, while retaining hope that the human spirit with always fight these constraints.
The main character is not hero material, he is an average guy with hopes and dreams and all he wants is a chance to follow them. Denied, we join him on his journey of rebellion, and a gripping story ensues.
While set in a not too distant future, taking a good hard look at the world today, I am unsure how long it would take for the issues in this book to become our frightening reality.
An excellently written novel, with many laugh out loud points of dry wit alongside the thrilling ride, this book instils me with joy that we will always fight for our individuality.
I highly recommend Undercurrents! This novel contains mystery, adventure with a very interesting plot. Patiently waiting for Mr. Grimes next creation!
