Attitude

It’s your attitude, not your aptitude that enables you to reach a higher altitude, if you have enough intestinal fortitude!

As we begin a new football season and for the student athletes, a new school year, let’s remember what real success is all about. Below is a poem written by Coach Grant Teaff, former Baylor University head coach, AFCA Coach of the year in 1974, National Football Foundation/College Hall of Fame Coach, and now the Executive Director of the American Football Coaches Association.

SUCCESS

Success is in the way you walk the paths of life each day, it’s in the little things you do and in the things you say.

It’s not in reaching heights or fame.
It’s not alone in reaching goals, which all men seek to claim.

Success is being big of heart, and clean and broad of mind.
Success is being faithful to your friend, and to the stranger kind.

Success is in your family, friends, and teammates that you love, and what they learn from you.
Success is having Character in everything you do.
